Common Use | DMPA NHBOC-carboxyl dendrons are monodisperse, multifunctional scaffolds with 1 protected amine focal point and an exact number of carboxylic acid surface groups. After deprotection, the amine focal point can be used for EDC/DCC coupling or coupling to NHS esters, while the carboxyl surface groups can be used for further coupling to amine containing materials, yielding highly functional materials. The dendritic polymer is biodegradable and have low cytotoxicity, and can be used in theranostics, biosensors, optics, adhesives and coatings. *DMPA=Dimethylolpropionic Acid or Bis(hydroxymethyl)propionic Acid *Boc=tert-Butyloxycarbonyl |
