Common Use | Poly(L-lysine)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine) hydrochloride is a A-B-A type hydrophilic block copolymer that has a poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) section on both sides of a non-reactive PEG section. It is a crystalline solid soluble in water. Upon derivatization of the poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) parts, it can self-assemble into particles in aqueous solution with a hydrophobic poly(L-lysine) core and a hydrophilic PEG shell. Applications for poly(L-lysine)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine) hydrochloride include the conjugation to active molecules for improved activities, the layer-by-layer deposition techniques, and the complexation with nucleic acids for gene expression. Our poly(L-lysine)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(L-lysine) hydrochloride has been purified by dialysis, sterile-filtered on 0.2um, lyophilized, and stored under Ar. |
