Description | B7H4 (B7 Homolog 4), also known as VTCN1 (V-set domain containing T cell activation inhibitor 1), encoded by the VTCN1 gene, is a protein belonging to the B7 co-stimulatory protein family. These proteins are found on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and interact with ligands bound to receptors on the surface of T cells. B7H4 mRNA is normally expressed in normal tissues, but its protein level is maintained in limited amounts in normal tissues. Studies have shown that high levels of the encoded protein are associated with tumor progression, and in many tumor tissues, B7H4 is abnormally expressed. This suggests that B7H4 expression can be tightly regulated at the post-transcriptional level in normal tissues, but this regulatory mechanism may be suppressed or altered in the tumor environment. Therefore, B7H4 is considered to be a promising target for immunotherapy, and such clinical studies are ongoing to explore the clinical significance of B7H4. This product is designed as a tool for the delivery and expression of human TF tagged B7H4 mRNA for research. The product leverages the lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology platform for simple and efficient delivery of B7H4-TF mRNA to a variety of mammalian cells in vitro and in vivo. The LNPs used are formulated with SM-102, DSPC, cholesterol and DMG-PEG2000 at an optimal molar concentration for a high rate of encapsulation and efficient mRNA delivery. The B7H4-TF fusion protein is approximately 33 kD, consisting of B7H4 (282 amino acids) and a C-terminal TF tag (15 amino acids) |
