Description | Lipid Anchor Kit series of products, based on the principle of similar phase solubility to realize the surface modification of exosomes. Includes cholesterol lipid anchor kits with different targeted peptide modifications. Cholesterol belongs to amphiphilic substances with both lipophilic and hydrophilic groups, but it is more lipophilic than hydrophilic, and it can be embedded between phospholipid molecules when interacting with phospholipids, connecting the target molecules it carries to the outer surface of the exosome, realizing the surface modification of the exosome. The targeting peptides are chemically linked to cholesterol and fluorescent molecules according to the known sequences in the article, and then the targeting peptides with fluorescent markers can be attached to the exosome surface, which is an excellent modification tool for exosome surface modification. |
Shelf-life | 1 year |
Technical Notes | 1. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Due to the inherent properties of the lipid-anchored targeting peptide, it will agglomerate with the prolongation of storage time, please use it as soon as possible after thawing. 2. The kit comes with non-sterile ultrafiltration tubes (there are no sterile ultrafiltration tubes in the market), it is recommended to add antibiotics or further filtration to remove bacteria when ultrafiltrating the product for subsequent experiments, and the ultrafiltration tubes can be stored at room temperature. 3. It is recommended to operate in the ultra-clean table to avoid the breeding of bacteria by opening the cap repeatedly. 4. Shake and mix before use, and avoid light during operation. 5. DMSO is difficult to transport and needs to be supplied by the customer's laboratory. |
Composition | • RVG-Lipid-Anchor Solution* 1 mg/1 mL/1 tube • Reaction Buffer* 5 mL/1 tube • Wash Buffer* 150 mL/1 bottle |
Technology Applications | 1. Co-incubation modification: directly using co-incubation to connect the targeted peptide molecules, to obtain engineered exosomes with targeted effects. 2. Disease direction: targeting nicotinoyl acetylcholine receptor in neurodegenerative, infectious, inflammatory, hereditary and neoplastic brain diseases, such as brain tumors such as glioma, ischemic strokes, major depression, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and brain/fetal brain Zika Virus (ZIKV) infections, etc., and conducting functional molecule delivery for functional mechanism research. |
