Common Use | Biotin-PEG-SH is used for PEGylation by binding to streptavidin or avidin with high affinity and specificity. Biotin is conjugated to a linear PEG through a stable amide linker. It has a reactive free thiol, SH, cysteine, sulfhydryl, or mercapto group that selectively reacts with maleimide and novel metal surface including gold, silver, etc.. It is useful for reversible PEGylation. |
