Cyanur Liposomes are liposomes containing cyano groups. Studies have shown that proteins can be covalently coupled to cyanur liposomes via amine-reactive cyano groups. In this process, DSPE activated with cyanuric chloride (cyanuric-DSPE) can be used to directly attach to the vesicle surface, or activated cyanuric-PEG-PE can be used to attach to the distal end of the PEG spacer (ammonium salt). The cyanuric chloride at the end of PEG links peptides, antibodies, and other amine-containing biomolecules or nanoparticles through nucleophilic substitution reactions under alkaline conditions. Thus, antibodies or other proteins can bind to cyanur liposomes without any prior derivatization. To this end, CD Bioparticles has developed cyanur liposome for binding peptides, antibodies and other amine-containing biomolecules or nanoparticles.
CD Bioparticles manufactures and supplies cyanur liposomes for drug delivery research. Contact us to find out how cyanur liposomes can help your work.
