Fluorescent Dextrans

Dextrans is a complex branched Dextrans (polysaccharide formed by condensation of glucose) originally derived from wine. The polymer backbone consists of α-1,6 glycosidic bonds between glucose monomers, branching into α-1,3 bonds. Dextran is unique in that they are inert, polymeric, and therefore available in a variety of sizes and easily modified to accept fluorophores. Fluorophore-modified dextran has a wide range of applications. Its high water solubility, biocompatibility, and functional range make fluorescent dextran ideal for many applications, such as nano-drug carriers, cell imaging systems, and nano-biosensors.

CD Bioparticles offers differenct molecular weight of fluorescent dextrans for drug delivery development, with conjugated group including, AMCA, Amine, Biotin Carboxymethyl, Cy3, Cy5, Cy5.5, Cy7, DEAE, FITC, Lysine, NIR, Rhodamine B, TAMRA, TRITC, and Texas red. Contact us to find out how fluorescent dextrans can help you in your work.
