Dendrimers are polymer molecules with a three-dimensional network. They are almost monodisperse macromolecules with highly aligned structures consisting of dendritic arms or branches built around a small molecule or linear polymer core. Their dendritic branching structure is unique and has been explored as a targeted drug delivery system for various diseases in the field of nanomedicine. Dendrimers consist of three components in their structure, including an initial core (starting atoms), an inner layer with repeating units, and an outer. Dendrimers have precise molecular structures whose molecular weight, size, and number of branches can be easily controlled. Dendrimers are generally symmetrical around the core and are available for a large number of functional groups present on the surface. Because dendrimers have multiple end groups and multiple chemical structures, they allow for the conjugation of multiple drugs, especially antineoplastic drugs using various cleavable linkers. Multifunctional dendrimers carry antitumor drugs on their surfaces and can also be modified by solubilizing functions and tumor-targeting ligands.
CD Bioparticles offers dendrimer polymers of varying molecular weights for drug discovery research. In addition, we offer dendrimer polymers modified with acetylene, ammonium, azide, carboxyl, fluorescent rhodamine, hydroxyl, NHBOC and protected amine groups.
